Tim graduated with an Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati, where he learned the importance of research and conceptual problem solving.  Notable University projects included the BreeZe Music concept (4 years prior to Apple launching the similar iPod and iTunes) and the esolo fuel cell vehicle thesis project, both of which focused on environmental concerns addressed through innovation.  Tim went on to work a year for Fitch, an international design firm where he coordinated numerous brainstorming sessions and immersed himself in the design methodologies that drove each project.

In 2002 Tim moved to the Southwest where he worked as a freelance designer before co-founding a small design firm in Taos, New Mexico.  Melting snow in Taos and the end of ski season led to a move to Tucson, Arizona, where Creative Slice was founded in 2003.  Tim has helped build Creative Slice into a leading design firm in Tucson, working with well over 100 clients and encouraging organizations to be open about their impact on the earth.  He started the Green Choice program in 2007 to help promote the green choices organizations make every day and let their customers know what they are doing for the environment.

Other noteworthy experiences include:

  • Founded Spoke6, a co-working space near downtown Tucson, AZ.
  • Played part of a season for the Washington Power in the Major League Roller Hockey League.
  • Traveled through 18 countries in Europe for 2 months before beginning senior thesis at University of Cincinnati.
  • Explored rural Yunnan China on a Puer Tea Tour seeing tea producers and rural towns few non-Chinese have ever set foot in.
